Genetics

Gold Leaf is an Indica dominant hybrid bred by Robert Bergman, founder of ilovegrowingmarijuana.com.

Robert Bergman’s intention was creating an easy to grow hybrid with generous yields.

This strain is one of the easiest to grow outdoors producing a plant that grows like a Sativa but has Indica effects.

Gold Leaf is also known for being high in both THC and CBD thanks to breeding, yet Robert Bergman has decided to keep its exact lineage secret.

Cannabinoids and Terpenes (THC, CBD etc)

Gold Leaf contains around 23% THC and 2% CBD, other valuable terpenes present are Myrcene:0.492%, Limonene:0.315% and Caryophyllene: 0.278%.

Myrcene promotes the “couch-lock” effect and explains the sedative qualities of some strains. Strains high in Myrcene produce joyful and euphoric effects, besides a feeling of relaxation.

Myrcene also has muscle relaxant and pain-reducing properties.

Limonene is another terpene present in Gold Lesf and has powerful cancer-fighting properties.

It also has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, diabetes preventing and antibacterial qualities.

Caryophyllene is the third most abundant terpene found in Gold Leaf.

It is widely used natural remedies for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic benefits.

Grow Info

Robert Bergman bred this strain with the idea of it being very beginner-friendly and easy to grow outdoors.

It is a strain designed to be easy to grow by anyone, from veteran growers to complete newbies.

It is also a very hardy plant that grows fast, reaching over two meters high with very impressive yields.

Outdoors it loves sunny and warm weather and will grow to massive dimensions under direct sunlight.

The rapid growth rate of this strain is perfect for providing large harvests in a short amount of time.

Indoors it can be a little bit tricky to cultivate because of the rapid growth rate. But with early pruning and topping size can be kept under control.

This strain is also very pest and mould resistant, making it ideal for beginners who might not know yet how to prevent, recognize and treat plant diseases.

It is also a plant that grows tall, is easy to cultivate, gets covered in big buds and has a short flowering time.

These characteristics make this strain attractive to both beginners and veterans who will have a good time growing it.

As far as size goes, it can reach over 220cm outdoors, while indoors it can be trained to stay between 100 to 160cm.

Yield

Gold Leaf is one of the easiest strains to grow outdoors and it produces massive yields of dense and heavy buds.

The sheer size of this plant allows for abundant outdoor harvests of up to 800 grams per plant.

Indoors yields are a bit more modest but still on the high-end of production, between 450 and 650 grams per m2.

The harvested buds are lime green with a large number of orange stigmas and with a heavy coating of trichomes.

Also, Gold Leaf is one of the top 8 highest yielding strains according to ILGM.

Effects

Gold Leaf has a nice ratio of THC (21%) to CBD (2%) which provides a decent head high without any of the paranoia and anxiety that can be caused by the high THC and almost no CBD of many commercial strains.

The main effects of this strain differ with the amount used.

Large doses produce sedation and relaxation so they are not recommended for morning or daytime use.

Small doses give an energetic high that can be very useful for fighting fatigue or tiredness.

No matter the dose, the high produced by Gold Leaf will put you in a positive, relaxed and happy mood.

Just remember that taking too much of it can make you drowsy and sleepy.
